If you have kids, you need to go to Clemjoyntri Park in McLean, VA. The two-acre playground is one of my son’s favorite places to play outdoors. Not only is it one of the largest playgrounds in Fairfax County, but it was built to allow children of all physical abilities to play as well. Clemjoyntri features Virginia’s first Liberty Swing, which allows wheelchair users to experience swinging.
- The Rainbow Room with swings to accommodate all physical abilities
- The Schoolhouse & Maze with reconfigurable panels
- The Transportation Area with has airplanes, buses, and trains for the kids
- The Fitness and Fun area with jungle gym components to increase their physical strength and burn energy!
The park also features several picnic areas (perfect for birthday parties or play dates) and a carousel that is open during the summer.
Clemjoyntri Park is located at 6317 Georgetown Pike,McLean, Virginia 22101 and is open from 7am to dusk. There is a small parking lot next to the park, and overflow parking is available across the street.
